Bucknor is new president of WICUA

Retired International Cricket Council umpire Steve Bucknor is the new president of the West Indies Cricket Umpires Association (WICUA).



The 63 year old Jamaican defeated incumbent Hartley Reid of Barbados 14 votes to 11 at the WICUA’s 24th biennial convention in Bermuda.



Bucknor retired from umpiring at international level in March.



He will have countrymen Vivian Johnson as Secretary and Norman Malcolm as Assistant Secretary/Treasuer.



Another Jamaican, Cecil Fletcher, was returned as the Area One vice president while Clancy Mack of the Leewards Island and Harry Mahabal of Trinidad and Tobago are the other area vice presidents.
