Bahamian student stabbed

A 17 year-old student is dead and two others in police custody following a stabbing incident at the C.C Sweeting Senior High School on Monday.



The police said Rico Farrington was stabbed to death by two of his classmates around noon.



While the circumstances leading to the incident have not been disclosed, the police said Farrington was apparently running from his attackers.



TEducation officials in the Bahamas are calling for renewed police presence in schools.
