Top ranked Dinara Safina and her Russian teammate Svetlana Kuznetsova will contest the French Open final at Rolland Garros tomorrow.

Safina advanced to the final for the second year in a row, beating Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia 6-3, 6-3 yesterday.

It was a mistake-filled match, with Safina winning despite seven double-faults and 24 unforced errors.

Safina has never won a major title. She was runner-up to Ana Ivanovic last year at Roland Garros.

Kuznetsova overcame a wobble to see off Australian Sam Stousur 6-4, 6-7, 6-3 to make it an all-Russian French Open final.

The men’s semi-finals will take place today.
