Trinidad and Tobago may have its first swine flu case.

The health ministry has reported that a woman has tested positive for the H1N1 virus.

However, the ministry is awaiting the results of a second test to confirm the original results.

In the meantime, the ministry says the patient is doing well and remains isolated under continuous monitoring.

The health ministry is also testing persons who may have come in contact with the woman.

Barbados, Bermuda, Bahamas, Cuba and Jamaica have already reported confirmed cases of the HINI virus.
