The former prime minister of St Vincent, Sir James Mitchell, is questioning the lifting of the Organisation of American States (OAS), suspension on Cuba.
The OAS voted on Wednesday to reverse the 47 year expulsion.
However, Sir Mitchell is concerned about the move even after Cuba had said it was not interested in rejoining the group.
While welcoming the move, Sir James says the OAS action does not show what he calls diplomatic finesse.
Cuba was suspended from the 34 member OAS in 1962.
