England captain warns fans
England captain John Terry has cautioned fans not to expect a goal-scoring spree when the Group 6 leader faces Andorra in Wednesday’s World Cup qualifier.
Terry says England found Andorra very difficult last year and it could also be the same case this time around. He says teams are getting a lot wiser, knowing how to play against the bigger teams.
Twelve other European sides will be in qualifying action also on Wednesday and England will look for a victory that would take them to within one win of a place at the 2010 tournament.
Elsewhere in England\'s group, Ukraine can go level on 11 points with second-place Croatia by beating Kazakhstan in Kiev.
The Netherlands, which play Norway, are the only side in Europe to have qualified for the finals to date.
With the Dutch capturing top spot with two games to spare, the race in that group is now on to finish second, as the best eight runners-up from the nine groups go to the playoffs.
