Holland face Pakistan
Minnows Holland will try to qualify for the Super Eight Stage of the International Cricket Council 20/20 World Cup in England today when they face Pakistan in the first match of Lords.
The match is scheduled to bowl of 7.30 a.m. Jamaica time and will be followed by New Zealand against South Africa at 11.30 a.m.
Holland, who created one of international cricket’s great upsets by defeating England in the opening contest last week, can progress to the Super Eight stage even if they lost to Pakistan.
In order for Pakistan to advance, they must chase down Holland’s score in approximately 16 overs or restrict them to less than 75 percent of their own total should they bat first.
Meanwhile, West Indies place in the Super Eight was confirmed yesterday following the elimination of Australia by Sri Lanka at Trent Bridge.
Australia lost the must-win match by six wickets.
