Prosecutors in Belize say they will be appealing against a high court decision to dismiss a corruption charge against a former Prime Minister, Said Musa.
Mr Musa was accused of theft in the use of US$10 million, which was half of a grant from Venezuela to Belize in 2007.
Chief Justice Abdulai Conteh overturned a lower court decision, ruling that there was no evidence to commit the opposition Member of Parliament to stand trial.
Mr Musa, who lost power in last year\'s elections, told reporters he felt vindicated and accused the government of political persecution.
