Jamaica dominate sprint races

Jamaican athletes dominated the women’s and men’s sprint races at the Thessaloniki 2009 track meet in northern Greece today.
Sheri-Ann Brooks clocked 11.33 seconds to win the women’s 100 metres ahead of Nigerian Damola Osayomi, who clocked 11.44. American Ladedra Guy was third in 11.52.
Steve Mullings took the men’s 100 metres in 10.12, ahead of Briton Tyrone Edgar, who clocked 10.23.
Cuba\'s Olympic hurdling champion, Dayron Robles returned from an injury to win his first race of the season at the meet.
Robles clocked 13.60 to win the 110 hurdles. American Aries Merritt was second in 13.45.
