Cricket in Portmore received a significant boost today, as Milo announced the sponsorship of clinic, which takes place this weekend at Ken’s Wild Flower Oval.

The Portmore clinic will be led by Jamaica Cricket Association technical director Jimmy Adams.

The clinic, sponsored to the tune of $120,000, is confined to the age group 8 to 15. The participants will be engaged in practical and theory sessions on both days.

The clinic will precede the fifth Milo Portmore Under 15 League, which is scheduled to begin on June 21 with seven teams.

Milo has also launched the 13th staging of the St Catherine Cricket Club’s Cricket Camp runs for two weeks in July and the first staging of the Under 15 Challenge Cup.

The Under 15 Challenge Cup will see the best 18 players drawn from the Portmore Under 15 League, the St Catherine Cricket Club’s camp and the Melbourne Cricket Club touring St Elizabeth and Westmoreland for a series of matches.
