Jamaica’s Wavell Hinds scores 30 for Derbyshire

Jamaican Wavell Hinds scored 30 runs to help Derbyshire reach 261 for nine against Glamorgan at Derby’s County Ground on yesterday’s opening day of their English County Championship match.



Hinds faced 91 balls and hit two fours. Garry Park top scored with 76 runs.



In another match, ex-West Indies pacer Corey Collymore led the bowling for Sussex with a three-wicket haul to restrict Worcestershire to 288.



Collymore took three for 42 while his Barbados teammate and discarded West Indies player Dwayne Smith gave steady support with two for 44.



Sussex were 17 without loss in reply.
