Eleven people who traveled with Suriname\'s national volleyball teams to a tournament in Trinidad returned home with swine flu, officials in the South American country said Monday, according to a report on www.etaiwannews.com.
The eleven people, including players on the men and women\'s team, have recovered, but authorities are monitoring others in the delegation and anyone they had contact with since their return last week, Health Minister Celsius Waterberg said.
They are the first confirmed cases of H1N1 in Suriname, officials said. \"There is no reason to panic but we have to be vigilant in order to contain the virus,\" Waterberg said.
