British Airways is asking thousands of staff to work for nothing for up to one month.
The airline says this is needed for it to survive.
Airline chief Willie Walsh says he has already agreed to work without being paid in July, forgoing his month\'s salary of 61,000 pounds.
Last month, the airline posted a record annual loss of 401 million pounds due to higher fuel bills and other costs.
A company spokesman said it did not have an exact target for the expected savings from its appeal.
