Grenadian health authorities refused to allow a cruise ship to dock after several persons aboard exhibited symptoms of the influenza A H1NI virus.
Tourism officials say they could not confirm the number of passengers and crew, but say the Ocean Dream cruise ship usually carries more than 1,300 persons to the island per week.
Ocean Dream, which is part of the Pullmantur Cruises fleet, was making its way to Grenada from Aruba.
Grenada is the third country in recent weeks to have turned away cruise ships due to fears of the influenza virus aboard a vessel.
Last week, Antigua and St Lucia turned away a Royal Caribbean cruise liner.
