Chantal falls in love with Beijing

Hi Jamaica!

My first week in China was amazing! We got to see so many interesting sights and places.

We spent much of our first week in the capital city of Beijing. Our Beijing hotel was very inviting, even though the rooms were a bit small.

Of all our hotels, this location had the most limited food options. I felt sorry for the ladies who were on a very strict diet because our hotel was complete with an assortment of fried, greasy, and deep-fried Chinese food.

In Beijing, we got to take in the magnificent views of China from the Great Wall. However, my favourite part of this trip was our visit to Beijing's Olympic Stadium.

I felt a great sense of pride knowing that I was in the same location where my fellow Jamaicans made their mark and held our flag high for the world to see.

Now, all of China loves Jamaica! I can't help but smile when I meet someone and they say 'Ja-may-ja' and make quick hand movements to show that we run really fast.
