'Praise Him' brings out the cheers

Handclaps, shouts and screams filled the Courtleigh Auditorium on Saturday evening as the musical, Praise Him! A Celebration of Life - Alleluia, got under way.
The charity concert, organised by the Missionaries Of The Poor was well supported as was evident by the full house in the auditorium as well as the loud cheers which came from the patrons who seemed to be enjoying the performances.
Father Ho Lung and Friends performed vocal and dance pieces all written by Father Richard Ho Lung.
Performances of Enter Into Jerusalem, Oh Sing To The Lord, Wherever You Go, Love Of My Life, Praise Him, Who's That Man and Stand Still, among many others, managed to generate a good response from patrons as they shouted their approval at the end, or sometimes even at the beginning of each selection.
The proceeds of the charity event will be put to good use, as it will be used to aid the missionaries' Haiti Earthquake Relief Mission and also to assist the operations of the new Holy Innocents' Women and Children Crisis Centre.
Another of the Missionaries Of The Poor's upcoming productions, Jesus Born Ya!, a Jamaican Christmas Show, will be held from December 3-4 at the Courtleigh Auditorium and the brothers are inviting all to come out and support the venture.
