WESTERN BUREAU:The Montego Bay-headquartered Caribbean Producers Jamaica (CPJ) has introduced France's Whispering Angel, a wine that boasts all the characteristics of a red.

Admitted to western Jamaica's newest 'members-only' spirits group, Le Club de Vin, on Thursday, January 21, Whispering Angel played the perfect companion as hosts Denny and Veena Chandiram opened up their new fabulous home at The Lagoons in Montego Freeport for this monthly meeting of wine enthusiasts.

Needless to say, the Chandirams outdid themselves with the exciting fare they presented to members of the two-month-old club.

The group will rotate their meeting venue on a monthly basis, and will visit an international wine-tasting destination annually.

Organised by the Second City's 'corporate connections', each of the 25 members is allowed two guests but should advise of their intention ahead of time, says 'head cook and bottle washer', Pauline Reid.

"Persons wanting to discuss business can excuse themselves to a 'corner'. Failure to comply will result in a 'fine' of a 'fine' bottle of wine," is all the group asks of its members, who include men and women from all segments of the business community.

The event follows the official launch of the club at The Atrium in Ironshore last November.
