Visit schools without warning
THE EDITOR, Sir:
It is common now for the inspectorate to visit schools to do an overall assessment of teachers, students and administrators. I have one concern, though. Why are they informing the schools that they are coming? How are they going to see the true picture of the institutions when they do this?
I really think that these people should consider if they do taxpayers and school officials any good when they do this. I am 100 per cent sure that every school will put on a show, so that things will look good. When they are gone, things will go back to normal.
I am suggesting that school officials not be told that these people are coming. Let them see what really goes on daily, and then they can make fair recommendations.
I am, etc.,
