Auto show for March 19-20
Kingston Industrial Garage Limited (KIG) is set to pull out all the stops to make its two-day motor show a memorable experience.
The event, in association with the National Commercial Bank (NCB) Auto Loan, will be staged on the grounds of NCB at 29 Trafalgar Road (formerly Super Plus compound), March 19-20.
According to Dawn Green, KIG's public relations and marketing executive, the motor show can be viewed as a form of consolation for the Automobile Dealers' Association (ADA) auto show that was cancelled for the third consecutive time this year.
"We at KIG had already put plans in place for this motor show," Green said.
She said that there will be an unveiling of two new SUVs in the Ford line-up.
"Each brand - Ford and Subaru - will have about eight models on display, and test drives will also be ongoing on specific models," she said.
"There will also be a wide variety of Yamaha motorcycles and ATVs as well."
Also, 10 other suppliers of motor-related products will also be on showcase.
Green projects that approximately 5,000 visitors are expected for the two-day show.
Family event
"The event promises to be an exciting one. We will have attractions as well as simulation games for the children."
There will also be nightly performances from some of the big names in the entertainment industry as well as bike stunts, the marketing executive said.
Green went on to say there will also be two lecturers who will speak on topics pertaining to vehicle maintenance and general car issues.
She said KIG will be showing off their body shop as well as auto-repair and parts departments.
"Naturally, this motor show will give increased sales and give both brands exposure," Green told Automotives.
She continued: "KIG saw it as an opportunity to incorporate NCB, to have the motor show at the NCB facility at Trafalgar Road."
The event is set to commence at 10 a.m., both days, and ends at 10 p.m.
