'Sexy in Black' gives back, shows more

The Khaotik Entertainment group has been on the events-promotion scene for some time. Even though they underwent a name change, the group's members have retained a lot of their former objectives. And they still hold true to a notion that in reaching to the top, you have to give back.
And through the second edition of their pool party 'Sexy in Black', to be held at the Bournemouth Pool on Michael Manley Boulevard, Kingston, Khaotik has decided to do so again, but with a small twist.
Prior to the establishment of Khaotik Entertainment in August, 2008, they had successfully planned and hosted several events under the name Dogg Pound, which they used when the group was set up in 1998. The curent group includes Shelton Brown, Richard Brown, Oneiro Edwards, Al Alexander and Judah Nugent.
"We, as a group, don't believe that you get to the top without helping the less fortunate around you. So, seeing that I am a past student of Excelsior High and I used to be a part of their cadet unit, I decided that it was a worthy charity. They're in need, so we'll be donating at least five per cent of each ticket sold to them at the unit," said Khaotik CEO, Judah Nugent.
He added that this has not been their first charity venture, but this is the first one which will be publicised. Admission to 'Sexy in Black' is $500 for females and $800 for males, while FAME Fraternity Members will pay $400 with their identification card.
As for the twist, this year, they have decided to upgrade from last year's bikini pool party to show a little more skin with a lingerie pool party. "This year, we wanted to do it different, so normally you have a lingerie party inside a house but now we've added the pool party twist," said Nugent.
A staging of the event was set for June of last year, but the West Kingston saga caused it to be postponed until July. At that time, 'Sexy in Black' was among the few events that had a permit and, despite everything that was happening, enjoyed a good turnout of approximately 1,000 people.
With no obstacles this time around, Nugent anticipates nothing less than 1,500 patrons from the target audience of Portmore and Kingston and St Andrew.
He said that among the highlights of the event will be the musical ambience which will be set by a variety of selectors. "ZJ Wah Wa, Code Red, Aggart De Bandit of Jam Rock Sound and Snipa International are those who will be playing and that's some of the best. Female waitresses will also be around the venue to take your order, so that means once you enter you don't have to be walking to the bar. We'll have a special discount on liquor as well and, last but not least, there is the excellent admission price," Nugent said.
Sponsors West King Wholesale, Party Wristbands, Fimiyaad.com, Nick Fotoworks, Portmore Beverages, Rough Rider Condoms, Hair Vibes, Anyweh.com, Docutech Ltd, Entertainment Frenzy, Quick Print Plus and 876radio.com are all on board for 'Sexy in Black'.
Khaotik Entertainment has promised to go all out for patrons at this staging, as they have put in all that is necessary for their enjoyment. Food will be made available by Zen Kitchen, Atlas Security will be on hand, the venue's decor will be done by Dahliah's Decor and the lighting provided by Phenomenal Systems.
