Meanwhile, news coming out of England is that MASKED MARVEL (15-2) won the final classic of the British Flat racing season last Saturday at Doncaster, romping the St Leger over 14 furlongs in record time.

The win provided trainer John Gosden and jockey William Buick with back-to-back wins in this prestigious race, having teamed up to win with ARCTIC COSMOS last year.

MASKED MARVEL, who won by three lengths from BROWN PANTHER (owned by English footballer Michael Owen) and 2-1 favourite SEA MOON in record time of three minutes, 0.44 seconds, was held up as the highly fancied SEVILLE made most. But when Buick asked him for his effort two furlongs out, it was all over bar the shouting.

Today at Ayr in the 13th race (2-y-o nursery), we like the look of Paul Hanagan's mount TRUMPET VOLUNTARY (9-4) to make it two wins from as many career starts.
