Something extra
That deputy wife
1. People in the industry are more than a little upset with the one who's busy lording it over all, so some have dubbed her the 'deputy wife' others have dubbed her the 'deputy minister'. They say her attitude and demands are way over the top and very nouveau. But what bothers some more than all is that her attitude is financed by taxpayers' dollars.
Succumbing to pressure
2. Some say it's the pressures of the office as well as mounting political pressure which led to the unseemly outburst. They say, as the pressure mounts in coming months, the electorate can look out for more desperate comments!
How did that happen?
3. Some in the private sector are still expressing disbelief at the recent pronouncements re taxes! They are dumbfounded that taxes were seemingly being collected by the Government, but the Government did not know about it. One player's remark was: "Now, how's that for management?"
Losing support
4.The one with political ambition and the outstanding bill is fast losing supporters. Word is, those who were prepared to give him a chance are now distancing themselves from him and his ambition, based on what they now say is a serious character flaw!
Clueless!
5. Some observers are convinced that the minister does not know the remit or the job description that goes with the title and role minister, as the behaviour is more akin to that of a junior protocol officer!
More missing
6. Along with the reported missing chairs and rolls of carpet, there's much talk of missing motor vehicles from official inventories in some other quarters!
What a response!
7. Quote of the week: 'When fish come from river bottom and tell you shark down there, believe them.' A response to Minister Tufton's comment that "talk is cheap".
