This year's staging of the annual Renaissance All- White party was billed as the Glow edition.

But with women far outnumbering the men, it could easily have been dubbed girls galore as well.

The line of traffic heading east along the Palisadoes Road at close to midnight on Friday was a clear indication that the event was going to be something memorable and it did not disappoint.

Things started off slowly, as just a scattering of patrons were inside the Jamaica Go-Kart Track venue when our news team arrived.

For the ladies, short, fitted dresses and heels were the popular choice as the majority of patrons stuck to the all-white theme.

Dancehall classics

By 1:30 a.m., the venue was almost full and patrons danced to dancehall classics such as Mavado's I'm On Da Rock and Bounty Killer's Gun No Stick.

DJ Jazzy T took over the turntables and had the venue rocking with songs like I Feel Free, Rihanna's Umbrella and Empire State of Mind, the collaboration between American superstars Jay Z and Alicia Keys.

With liquor flowing and the vibes high, ZJ Ice took charge of the turntables and went into some of the current dancehall hits such as Ravin and Party Shat, both from Portmore Empire artiste Popcaan.

A medley of Vybz Kartel songs soon followed and the ladies got their opportunity to get on bad before they started to stream out of the venue in the early morning.
