Come dine in our jerk haven
Located in New Kingston, Sweetwood Jerk Joint is conveniently situated in an area which has been seen as the jerk haven.
Participating in the Nyam and Scram category for this year's Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week, this eatery will cater to those who wish to dine in or take out.
Whatever they choose, according to manager Kim Chambers, each customer will leave with an authentic and tasty jerk meal.
"We have a special seasoning that we use and we also use the sweet wood when preparing our meat. It is slow-cooked on the grill and never burnt."
With its menu offerings catering to chicken, pork and sausage lovers, customers are able to choose from a number of side dishes.
According to Chambers, the jerk chicken is their number-one seller, and this she acknowledged as the star of the menu.
"People have been raving about the chicken. It is nice, tender and succulent."
Encouraging persons to use the opportunity to indulge in tasty jerk dishes, Chambers said that in addition to the food, the courteous staff, light entertainment and secure environment will make their experience a superb one.
