Tamarind Indian cuisine restaurant, located at Shop 28 Orchid Village, continues to offer the flavours of Northern India as well as Indo-Chinese - a fusion of Oriental and Indian cultures.

Tamarind boasts a wide variety of traditional flavours and presentation methods that will invigorate your senses and your palate. There's something for everyone, including vegans. Each meal is prepared the traditional way - in the Tandoor oven, to maintain its authenticity.

The featured dish on this year's Restaurant Week menu is the butter chicken. With a rather sweet but not so spicy flavour, this delectable meal served with either white rice or naan is a very popular dish in India. With a very creamy texture, the dish is made with cashews, tomatoes, cooking cream, butter and chicken. Included on the menu for Restaurant Week because of its popularity, restaurant owner Vivek Chatani revealed that the dish is widely liked because it suits everybody's palate.

Now a staple on the Restaurant Week line-up, the restaurateur tells us that the exposure and the ability to reach new customers keeps them coming back to RW each year.
