Divine intervention only as back-up
It is noticeable that despite his line of work, Bishop Howard Gregory did not propose divine intervention for solving the pervasive problem of corruption in Jamaica's driving and vehicle-safety and certification system.
The head of the Anglican Church in Jamaica and The Cayman Islands wants strategic action and vigilance by "those charged with governance and law enforcement" to stop the "buying" of driver's licences and other malpractices in the sector. We agree.
The point is that honest leadership overseeing verifiable, system-based processes can dramatically reduce this corruption. If there is the will.
Divine intervention, thereafter, can provide a little back-up.
