NRSC extends poster deadline
The National Road Safety Council (NRSC) has extended the deadline for submission of entries in its Road Safety Poster Competition 2013 by a week. This is in an effort to give more students an opportunity to enter the contest.
Persons aged six to 19 years old now have until 5 p.m. this Friday, to submit their entries. Paula Fletcher, executive director, NRSC, explained that after the council reviewed the volume of entries last Friday - the initial deadline - and took into consideration requests from some educational institutions for more time to have their entries ready, it took the decision to extend the deadline.
Entrants have until 5 p.m. on Friday, June 28, to get their entries to the NRSC, 145 Maxfield Avenue, Kingston 10, by mail or courier. They may also drop entries in the collection box at the NRSC. Entries may also be placed in the collection boxes provided at the Ministry of Education, 2 Heroes Circle, Kingston; Ministry of Education, Region Five Office, South Race Course Road, Mandeville; and Ministry of Education, Region Four Office, Alice Eldemire Drive, Montego Bay.
