Jamaica beat Cayman Islands

Jamaica’s national Under-13 netballers scored a crushing 50 to 2 victory over their counterparts from the Cayman Islands in the second game of a three-match series at the Leila Robinson Courts yesterday.



As a result of the victory, the Jamaicans have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead.



On their way to victory the Jamaicans won the first quarter 12-0, the second 25 to one and the third quarter 37 to two.



Tristina Harwood led the Jamaican attack with 18 goals from 28 attempts, supported by Vanessa Jones with 10 from 17 and Daniel Jacobs with six from 12.



Delisa Gourzong had three goals from six attempts for the visitors.



Jamaica won Sunday’s opening game 39 to 5.



The final game is scheduled for this afternoon, beginning at 3.30 p.m.
