American double world sprint champion Tyson Gay said he is expecting a great showdown with Jamaican Usain Bolt later this month.
The two will face off in the 100 metres at the New York Grand Prix on May 31 at the Icahn Stadium on New York’s Randall’s Island.
Gay further predicts a fast time for the race.
Last year Gay ran a wind-assisted 9.76 seconds at the meet.
Bolt legally registered the same time at the recent Jamaica International Invitational, recording the second-fastest time ever.
Bolt followed up his 9.76 clocking with another fast run at the Hampton International Games at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Trinidad, on Saturday night. He clocked 9.92 seconds.
