The opposition St Lucia Labour Party has dismissed attempts by the government of St Lucia to unite after a three-week old crisis.

The party has called for St. Lucians to save the country and do so quickly.

The opposition held a political rally on Tuesday night, as Prime Minister Stephenson King was delivering an address to the nation claiming that his administration was re-united after weeks of internal squabbling.

Mr. King announced plans to recall dissident former Foreign Minister Rufus Bousquet to the cabinet.
