Hue returns to Reggae Boyz squad
Harbour View midfielder Jermaine Hue cemented his return to the Reggae Boyz squad for Jamaica’s opening encounter in the semi-final round of the CONCACAF qualifiers for the 2010 South Africa World Cup.
Hue was named in a squad of 20 players for the game against Canada.
The 30 year old Hue only returned to the national squad earlier this month after his last call up for the Ash Wednesday friendly against Costa Rica, in which he did not feature.
The squad also includes 18 year old Reno midfielder Davion Thorpe, who is set to travel with the senior team for the first time.
Sporting Central midfielder Jevaughn Watson could earn his second cap for the country following his El Salvador debut. He was also named in the squad with Colorado Rapids forward Omar Cummings, who made his debut in the El Salvador game.
Also included in the squad are captain Ricardo Gardner, Tyrone Marshall, goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts, Rudolph Austin, Demar Phillips, Luton Shelton and Andy Williams.
The team will depart on Saturday morning for Toronto, Canada and return on August 21.
