Time change for Mexico, Reggae Boyz clash

The first-leg semi-final World Cup qualifier between Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz and CONCACAF giants Mexico scheduled for September 6 at the National Stadium will now kick off at 1 p.m.

The match was slated for a 7 p.m. start but the Jamaica Football Federation announced the change earlier today.

The change came a week after Mexico decided to play the return leg on October 11 at the much feared Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.

That leg was previously scheduled to take place at the Cuauhtemoc Stadium in the City of Puebla.

Meanwhile, Jamaica’s 20-member squad will depart on Saturday for Toronto for its opening encounter in the semi-final round of the qualifiers against Canada.

The game is scheduled for August 20.
