Several communities in the Turks and Caicos Islands remain without electrical power following Ike’s onslaught early yesterday.
Premier, Michael Misick said the storm damaged 80 percent of the houses on the main island and hundreds lost roofs as the hurricane made a near-direct hit.
Schools and the airports have also remained closed.
There have been no reported fatalities.
