Front-running Harbour View, Boys’ Town and Tivoli Gardens have improved their chances of qualifying for the Digicel Premier League football end-of-first-round final following victories yesterday.
With another two first round fixtures remaining, Harbour View have hold on to their two-point lead following a 2-0 victory over Sporting Central Academy at Harbour View Mini Stadium.
As a result of the victory, Harbour View have moved to 20 points, two ahead of Boys’ Town, which defeated Waterhouse 3-0 at Collie Smith Drive.
Tivoli Gardens moved to third place on 15 points with a 2-1 victory over defending champions Portmore United at Edward Seaga Sports Complex.
In the days’ other games, St. Georges blanked Arnett Gardens 2-0 at Lynch Park in Portland and bottom-placed Meadhaven United won their first game, beating Village United 2-1 at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay.
