National Stadium to host schoolboy finals
The National Stadium will host the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/Pepsi/Digicel Walker Cup knockout and Manning Cup football finals on Saturday.
The Walker Cup final between Calabar High and Excelsior was scheduled for October 31, but was called off during penalty kicks because of bad light at the Constant Spring complex.
The teams were locked at 9-all during the penalty kicks when the match was called off. They had battled to a 1-1 tie after full and extra time.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. and will be followed by the Manning Cup final between Jamaica College and St George’s College at 3 p.m.
Meanwhile, the finalists of the rural area ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel DaCosta Cup are expected to be decided on Saturday.
Spalding High and Lennon will meet in semi-final one at St Elizabeth Technical High School.
Ben Francis Knockout champions St James High and Lacovia High will face off in semi-final two at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay.
Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m.
