The International Organization for Migration is urging developed countries
to keep their doors open to foreign workers, despite the global economic crisis.
A report from the organisation says rich nations will continue to need migrant workers to fill jobs that their own workers are not able to do.
One of the editors of the report says globalisation will result in people moving from one place to another.
Safeguards must be put in place to protect more vulnerable countries from an exodus of valuable workers, he adds.
