Holmwood/St Andrew win all-island champion

Rural Area champions Holmwood Technical scored a hard-fought 47 to 44 extra-time victory over Urban Area champions Vauxhall High yesterday to win the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/Digicel All-Island Netball senior league title.
The game was played at the National Stadium courts.
Goalshooter Deneen Laylor led the way for Holmwood Technical with 42 goals from 54 attempts, while Trudy-Ann Green scored 42 from 56 attempts for Vauxhall.
St Andrew High easily defeated Herbert Morrison 24 to 16 to win the all island junior title, which was also played at the National Stadium Courts.
