Windies arrive for second Test

The West Indies cricket team is now in Napier for the decisive second Test against New Zealand, which starts on Friday.

The regional side, chasing their first series win over the Black Caps in 12 years, was greeted with bright sunshine and 28 degree Celsius weather as they touched down on the east coast of the North Island.

In contrast, the Windies were forced to endure chilly weather during the drawn opening Test last week in Dunedin, where temperatures dipped into single digits on some days.

Rain eventually proved to be the decisive factor in the first Test, forcing the second and final days to be abandoned at the University Oval.

With New Zealand struggling with several injury worries, the Windies have been boosted by a fully fit squad from which to select their final eleven.
