Israel daily ceasefire
Israel has implemented a daily ceasefire in Gaza.
Military officials say the three-hour pause in operations will last for three hours everyday.
According to an Israeli spokesman the halt should allow Gazans to get medical attention, supplies and fuel.
Israel has been criticised by aid agencies which have warned of a mounting humanitarian crisis for the 1.5 million Palestinians in Gaza, who are unable to escape from the conflict because of Israel\'s blockade.
A Hamas spokesman is reported as saying that the group will not launch any missiles at Israeli targets during the break.
There were at least two air strikes on Gaza in the first few minutes of the ceasefire.
BBC correspondents say it is unclear if the ceasefire applies to all of Gaza.
More than 600 Palestinians are now believed to have been killed since Israel began its offensive on December 27.
