Barbados deals with route cut

The tourism minister in Barbados Richard Sealy said the country is putting measures in place to minimise the impact of the decision by Air Jamaica to cut its direct service to the island, effective February 26.



Mr. Sealy said travelling to Kingston from Barbados will be difficult, but he said talks have begun with other carriers in an effort to fill the void.



He said the Jamaica link remained an important one for Barbados and constitutes a meaningful component of the CARICOM market.
