The United Nations aid agency for Palestinian refugees has suspended relief shipments into Gaza.

The agency is accusing the Hamas government of stealing hundreds of tonnes of food supplies.

According to the UN’s Relief and Works Agency, 10 truckloads of flour and rice were taken from the Palestinian side of the Kerem Shalom crossing.

The Agency said its the second such theft in recent days.

On Tuesday, 3,500 blankets and more than 400 food parcels were reportedly seized at gunpoint from a distribution centre in Gaza.

Gaza is facing a humanitarian crisis after Israel\'s three-week offensive in January.

At least half the population is said to be dependent on UN food aid.
