Jamaica international footballer Marlon King has been charged with indecent assault following an incident in a bar in London.

The charge follows an incident on December 7, 2008 when King was alleged to have sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman at the Soho Revue Bar in Brewer Street, central London, before punching her.

He was arrested three days later.

King was released on bail but will appear before the City of Westminster magistrates’ court on February 25.

He is currently on loan to Middlesbrough from Wigan Athletic after his Hull City spell was cut short.

King was part of Jamaica’s team that played to a goalless draw with Nigeria at the New Den football stadium in London yesterday.
