Haitians ordered to leave

United States immigration officials have ordered the deportation of 30 thousand Haitians.

But Haitian officials said they’re not issuing the travel documents needed to process most deportees.

A number of Haitians with valid passports have been returned to Haiti since December, following a three month break in deportations.

Authorities in Port-au-Prince said the storm ravaged country needs time to recover and cannot handle the return of its citizens.

Last year Haiti was hit by four major storms, which claimed almost 800 lives and left thousands homeless.
