Clinton vows to help Haiti
Former United States President, Bill Clinton vowed to help Haiti out of its dire socio-economic state.
Clinton said he plans to encourage international donors and corporations to respond to Haiti’s urgent need for jobs and development.
He said he also plans to use his Clinton Global Initiative, which brings together the world\'s top business and government leaders annually, to talk about what he observed in Haiti.
Clinton spoke following his two-day trip to Port-au-Prince, Haiti with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Clinton\'s fourth visit to Haiti concluded just as four South Florida members of the US Congress secured a hearing with new US Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano.
The legislators are advocating for temporary protected status for thousands of Haitians scheduled to be deported to their homeland.
