Jamaica lead Guyana

Champions Jamaica, ahead of Guyana by 81 runs on first innings, will resume this morning’s final day on 215 for seven in their second innings of their 13th round regional four-day match at Jarrett Park.



The Jamaicans, already assured of the George Headley/Everton Weekes Trophy with an impregnable 94 points, now have an overall lead of 296.



The batsmen at the crease are Brendan Nash on 40 and Odean Brown on one.



During yesterday’s third day, Guyana resuming from their overnight position of 268 for six in response to the home side’s 389 lost first innings points after being bowled out for 308.



David Bernard got most wickets for Jamaica with four for 85, while Gavin Wallace ended on three for 39. Odean Brown chipped in with two for 55.



Scores are Jamaica 389 and 217 for seven, Guyana 308.



Over at the Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla, the Leeward Islands, trailing Trinidad and Tobago by 130 runs on first innings, will resume this morning’s final day on 142 for four in their second innings.



Over at the Three Ws Oval, Barbados, trailing Combined Campuses and Colleges by 142 runs on first innings, will enter the final day on 167 for seven in their second innings.
