Headley Cup final Round Up
St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) are strongly poised to defend the rural area ISSA/Grace Headley Cup title after taking first innings points from Port Antonio High on yesterday’s second day of the three-day final.
The game is being played at Chedwin Park in St Catherine.
STETHS took the crucial first innings points after dismissing Port Antonio High for 116 after they resumed yesterday on 15 without loss. Port Antonio High were chasing STETHS’ first innings total of 280.
McKoy Ewart was the most successful bowler for STETHS with four for 16.
With a first innings lead of 164, STETHS batting a second time closed on 180 for five with Paul Palmer undefeated on 73.
STETHS are now leading by 344 runs.
STETHS are searching for the double after defeating Manchester High to lift the Knockout title earlier in the season.
