August Town and Humble Lions have gained promotions to the country’s top football competition, the Digicel National Premier League, following yesterday’s final set of games in the four team playoff.

August Town hammered hosts Brazil of St Ann 4-0 at Drax Hall to top the standings with 11 points and booked their place.

The Kingston and St Andrew Football Association team ended the National Premier League playoff, a point ahead of Humble Lions of Clarendon.

Humble Lions cemented their place following a 1-1 draw with Wadadah of Montego Bay at Brancourt in Clarendon to clinch the last spot.
