Captain Chris Gayle returns to West Indies team today for their opening match in the Super Eight phase of the 20/20 World Cup against reigning champions India in England.

The game is scheduled to begin this morning at 11.30 Jamaica time and is the second of two matches at Lord’s. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will face off at 7.30 a.m. in first match.

Gayle missed Wednesday’s final group match against Sri Lanka because of a sore knee.

West Indies lost the game by 15 runs, while India defeated Ireland by eight wickets on the same day.

After facing India today, West Indies will play South Africa at the Oval tomorrow and then tackle England on Monday.
