Jamaican Millwood scores in Baltimore\'s fourth win
Jamaican Machel Millwood notched his first goal for Crystal Palace Baltimore in a 2-1 victory over Wilmington Hammerheads in the United Soccer League (USL) Second Division this past weekend, according to a report on CANANEWS.net.
Recent signing Millwood scored midway the first half and assisted on Baltimore\'s second goal as they claimed an important win Saturday night at the University of Maryland Baltimore.
Millwood gave CP Baltimore the lead in the 27th minute when he connected on a cross from Pat Healy, beating his marker to head home. He then turned provider in the 53rd minute when he held the ball up expertly 30 yards out before delivering an incisive pass to the Portuguese Val Texeira running into the box.
Other games saw two other scores from the Caribbean in: Jamaican Nicholas Addlery and Randi Patterson, of Trinidad and Tobago. Addlery scored the fourth goal for the Puerto Rico Islanders as they ran past Austin Aztex 4-1 on Friday night.
