Chelsea beat Sunderland

Chelsea hit back to beat Sunderland 3-1 at the Stadium of Light and promoted Wolves captured a one-nil victory at Wigan in the English Premier League today.



Darren Bent fired Sunderland into an 18th-minute lead, only for Michael Ballack to level the scores in the 52nd minute. Frank Lampard drove home a penalty, while Deco added the third in the 70th.



The victory for Carlo Ancelotti\'s side gave the Blues maximum points from their first two games after Saturday\'s 2-1 victory over Hull at Stamford Bridge.



The league continues tomorrow with Birmingham against Portsmouth, Burnley facing defending champions Manchester United, Hull playing Tottenham and Liverpool tackling Stoke.
